Cinematic Descriptions

On The Last of Us Part I (2022) I was in charge of mixing and mastering the game’s cinematic descriptions, an accessibility feature that we added for this re-release. While a separate studio handled the recording and editing of the descriptive stems we handled the mixing in house, as the stems needed to be mixed in the same environment that the cinematics were mixed in (i.e. in game). Doing so was a combination of automation in DAW as well as mix moves in-engine, the former being handled by me and the latter being handled by the Audio Director for this title.
